Hippy Chick Bracelet Revisited

I'm revisiting this bracelet because I have exciting news, The Little Funky Shop at Granville Island (address)will be displaying some of these copper and anodized aluminum bracelets. And true to form, as in my company's name: Jewelry for All Ages, this is in the Kid's Only Market, but this bracelet is sturdy enough for a child and elegant for her mom to wear. I'm making them to fit wrists that are 6.5 to 7.5 inches and 7.5 to 8.5 inches.
I've found the the middle ring in the bracelet has so much stress on it that it does come apart and thus the bracelet becomes broken. To rectify this I've soldered the middle 6.5mm ring (18 gauge copper) and the two single outside rings so add durability to this bracelet. As with any jewelry, any extreme force will either cause the bracelet rings to warp or for the open jumprings to come apart. But this bracelet has both soldered and open rings which in everyday wear, will hold up to to the "kid" test. All the copper rings I handmade, as well as soldering the rings myself. The clasp is a simple 16 ga S-clasp that is a secure, elegant way to fasten this bracelet even for those who have "fumble fingers" like myself.

Egyptian Coil Bracelet

This weekend I decided to take the time to make one of these fine bracelets. I used Cristine's tutorial. I used 18 ga copper, and then made a 16 ga s-clasp with some jumprings that I cut. For Cristine's tutorial you can link from her home page: Egyptian Coil Tutorial. Cristine's work is outstanding and she is another fellow British Columbia resident.
